Yeah, the guy on the phone said they have to come off (the consoles that is) hence all the labour charge. Not to worry, at least I know I'm not being ripped off.

Just one more question, how much are new consoles from Skoda, complete with bushes? VAGcat shows the part in the diagram but doesn't list it.
