Glove Box A/C and Passenger airbag Questions???

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have noticed in the glovebox of my VRS there is a twist dial which looks like some kind of A/C dial with a hole in the middle (no key slot, just a hole), what is this for? and which way does the dial work?

Also, I am soon to be a farther for the first time and wanted to know if I can turn the passenger airbag off for the child seat? I know my wifes 307 has a key slot to do this but I can't see anything in the VRS.

Any help would be welcome on these issues.

Thanks

Air bag deactivation by a switch in the glovebox will be obvious, but it is optional not standard.

And the vent when open will feed cold a/c air into the glovebox and the cubby box on the right hand side when the a/c is on. Helps keep cold cans cold and stops sarnies getting sweaty.

The glove box will always be chilled (chilled better with A/C on) but the "can holder" is fed with the same temperature air that is coming out of the vents. This means in the summer you can chill things and in the winter you can keep things warm :D

Just rotate the vent so the hole is open and the air will flow in....

So I can chill/heat things in the glove box but not turn the airbag off. That should be standard, I'm supprised its not.

No - you can only chill things in the glove box. The can cooler can chill/heat.

Why standard? Some people dont have children and some like me believe regardless of if the airbag is switchable or not they belong in the back.

I can see where you're coming from, but it's one of those times when the switch is very cheap to fit standard and a pain to retro-fit.
