Door leaks....unfixable?

Featured Replies

I'm starting to get annoyed now! My Fabia has been to the dealer THREE times to fix the leaks on both rear doors. The last time they had it for two days to test and see if it was fixed. I test it myself now and both are still leaking. As far as I know the first time they tried re-sealing it, and the last they fitted new door carriers (or something), but how can they really be so rubbish?

What should I do?, apart from kick some ****! What can they be doing wrong!

i know its not the correct method of repair , but i fixed mine myself , by using a very good silicon sealant we use at work , just piped it neatly around the carrier

and lets face it , when is the door carrier ever going to be removed to have to mess about getting the silicon off , rear regulators are very reliable and the only other reason the carrier is taken off is to repair (or not) the leak

Not fitting the the little rubber washers that seal the door trim clips?
