I purchased a new Octavia 1.9 Elegance TDi on 10 July 2007. This was an import from Malta. It was visually evident that some of the Pre-Delivery Inspection Tasks, which had been ticked on the service sheet, had not been carried out.

The Service Interval Display showed a Service Mileage of 2700 miles and a Time -To -Service of 340 days, and the total milage at this time was only 64 miles! This was clearly not correct so I took the vehicle to an Approved Skoda Retailer and was informed that the Service Mileage should be in excess of 20,000 miles with a Time

When did you have this reset done?

It takes some time for the Engine Management to 'learn' driving style and time/mileage to be able to predict when a service is due.

You have only done 80 miles since the reset and I would expect it to need 250 miles to make its prediction.
