Hi,

I have managed to get the vents out eventually! after sitting astride the seats and nearly burning my bum on the cigerette lighter!!

What am I looking for now, is it a horizontal or vertical brace or what? and where is it towards the top or in the middle or?:confused:

So what causes the creak then? is it the plastic angle strut rubbing on the metal top hat section?.

Am I assuming rightly then that the cork would push the plastic section tight against it but how do you get the cork there as it is not gettattable

Well seem to have done it with a couple of brown rawlplugs wrapped in insulation tape........................silence at last.

New problem at tickover revs rise to 1500 and drop to 500 very strange then next day all seems ok, took it to garage something to do with the throttle cover??? what is that?
