Who knows anything about paint shades? I've been told my spray job is held up because there are 5 slightly different shades of Sahara Beige and they have given the paint people the petrol filler flap to match it exactly.

Does that ring true or just a delaying tactic?

Certainly rings true, and I'd be happier with a bodyshop that takes the time to match it than just goes with something that'll be "close"
