TV On The Move

Featured Replies

I have just had fitted to my Superb L&K a roof mounted DVD player (for the kids in the back) and purchased a Connects 2 Multimedia Adapter to have the video coming out on the sat nav screen and the audio through the stereo system. All is good and no problems - if you are stationary. As soon as you move off the legally required cut out of the video feed comes on. I know there are electronic bypass modules you can buy but has anyone done this or do they know where I could get one for my Skoda ?

Thx.

The trick is to fool the system into thinking the car is still stationary, with aftermarket sat navs you could just ground the connection that you were supposed to connect to the handbrake switch. OEM is more problematic as it gets the feed from the speed pulse wire, problem is the satnav also uses this signal to assist with locating you along with the gps.

TV on the move!. Recipe for disaster. The video cuts out for good reason.
