Hey guys/gals just wondering if anyone has any experience of running 8.5 x 18" alloys on there VRS?

If so are there any issues?

A friend is running 8 x 18's and lowered and it looks tight with a kw drop but the new rimms im after only come in this size?

Any help much appreciated.

Sorry mate but depending on "ET" (not the alien:P )they wont fit....Had 8.5j on mine for a week and they protrude the arches:thumbdwn:

Hi huys i'm on a similar mission. Did your friends 18 x 8s fit without issue?

I'm looking at a set of borbets ls in 18 x 8 with 225 40 tyres.

they have an offset of 35mm compared to the Octys standard 38mm (I think) so 3 mm of the extra width will be towards the outside of the car.

Oh yeh and arn't 225mm tyres 8.86 inches wide? How much can the rim itself effect overall tyre width?

Anyone had Borbets? issues? good? bad?

I have to get this right I already got a full set of Konigs in the garage that don't fit (cheers rimstyle)
