High stop light

I have recently got the Fabia estate and I noticed that on the high stop light strip there is (on the left hand side) a little button like pin that sticks out any idea of what its for . Reluctant to press it in case something went wrong.

yeah i thought it was a button but its for the washer fluid:)

Thanks for the replies one of the boys at work told me what it was my last car had a plastic tube and spray fitted to the windscreen wiper arm. I remember reading how the feed pie can become disconnected now I understand the problems that would cause.
