Servicing - is a log/note of mods kept on file

Featured Replies

Basically my first service is due soon, and it seems that the last time I was in Peterbourgh someone inadvertently fitted a ARB to my fabia, when I take it to Skoda for a service will they comment or record the details of the mod, therefore affecting any future warranty claims?

Would it be worth taking the ABR off for the service?

Thanks :D

Depends on the dealer as to whether the notice this sort of thing...

Rob.

If you're worried, get it serviced at a VAG independent specialist :) Not worth removing and refitting an ARB every 10k miles imho!!!

Chris

Just out of interest have any of you had an ARB fitted by Skoda and how much was it?

Thats what I'm thinking about, plus it'll be a bit cheaper. Not sure if it'll affect the resale value through.

Anyone care to recommend a mod friendly skoda dealer in East Anglia? PM will probably be best

Get it serviced elsewhere imho is the best way round things.

Shouldn't effect resale, but might effect part ex price. :)

Wings of Peterborough are a Superchips dealer ;) but I'd struggle to recommend them based on past experiences tbh. Saying that I'd rather use them than Vindis Cambridge.

ALS Lock at Little Downham treat you like a king if you are one of their customers.

Mill Hill at March are a Skoda specialist (ex-dealer) and are very good for servicing. Only downside is you get a Daihatsu stamp in the book.

I'd be going to Jabba if I were you. :)

Cheers guys.

Ooohhh, I can be treated like a king if I choose to then ;)

Mod friendly or not through, thats the question.

Jabba. :)

lol :D

Jabba. :)

While Jabba may appear cheaper in the short term, I'm not sure he realises the long time cost of going there .... oooooh lots of shiny bits!!! ;)

they don't do one

Wings stopped doing Superchips a while ago apparently, I enquired before Xmas.

If you're close enough to go to Wings, you're close enough to go to Jabbasport!! Hmm... out of date Autocar magazines vs Xbox - Jabbasport wins! :D

I can feel the slippery slope of 'jabba-ing' approaching already :( and I do like comfy sofas and tv's, so it seems ideal... :D

Joff: I'm not particularly close to any of them, Vinidis of Woolpit is my closest dealer but it seems their parts / servicing department is run by clowns
