Featured Replies

Changed original Head Unit for my old sony cdx m610, Cant get permanant live, everytime i take key out then open and shut the door it goes back to "safe Mode" and you have to put the code in and start again!!

I Reckon the live must be in the 6 changer bunch of wires which now are not in use! What shall i do

Cheers Chaps

Perm & Switched live are probably the wrong way around.

Get the VW Adaptor from Bluespot.co.uk and all your problems will be over. It'll save your dealer blowing up his diagnostic kit too :)

Cheers Geoff,

Actually got the adapter but fighting for space at the back so everything seemed to fit without it, any tips for space saving??

Not space saving as such, but..

If you remove the glovebox you can find more space to hide the adaptor & wiring ;)

Just be VERY careful with the glovebox light, they're a bit fragile.

No Probs!,

Imagine having to phone or go into a place and ask for advice!! that little pearl would of cost

IIRC - you need to swap the yeloow & red wires around - red is the permanent live if I've got that right. I did wire the signal booster into that, which seems to keep it on... whereas the amp remote I wired into the remote wire so it turns off when I turn it off.

HTH, and if it doesn't. sorry* :D

Sony HU's don't supply a 12v feed on the K-Line pin , so that isn't a problm.

All the OP needs to do is swap the red and yellow wires over using the handy bullet connectors that sony provide.
