Just had my local garage, (ex dealer), do an oil change on my Fabia 1.4MPI, cost me 30 for oil and filter, as the car was in for a new thermostat and MAP sensor, they didn't charge me for labour on the oil change. Even then, I'd probably only be looking at 45 quid.

Did you ask them to do a "lube" service? If they're doing a standard 10k service then that'll probably include an inspection which you don't need if you're doing 20k a year.

Awesome-GTI might be worth a look as a local VAG specialist....

Don't use the word service - otherwise they'll do an inspection with it.

If you're just after having your oil (and oil filter changed), just get them to quote for that...you can even take your own oil along if you can get it cheaper than the dealer can, then you're just paying them for a filter and about half an hour's labour.
