Not the usual steering issue

...instead I get a loud creaking/rubbing sound when I turn the steering wheel and a concurrent vibrating sensation in the steering wheel.

Now, this is going to sound strange, but it is the only way I can describe the sound and sensation accurately... Here goes... It is the same sound that ones backside makes when one sits in the bathtub and slides backward and forward on the wet tub floor. Seriously. :confused:

I have had no end of fiddly troubles with the Fabia since new and the dealer seems to think he can keep me content washing and waxing my car every time I go there to take it in. I think they are honestly trying to help too, but are just as stumped as I am - either that, or they are good actors. I just can't keep taking it in and having them listen to something that they admit is a problem, leaving it there for days without ANY result whatsoever.
