Was messing about and tried out testing the max zoom on my fairly basic sony digital camcorder. I've left a snippet at the beginning for all the guys. ;)

Car was approximately 15 metres away from me when doing these. And the wobble is probably due to withdrawel symptoms from alcohol. :D
