advice please on the following errors - before garage visit ?

Engine light came on with car, friend had VAG he came round and the system reported this

The 17705 means that your Diverter Valve (dump valve) is leaking a bit of boost and is not performing properly. Pretty common if you have the standard bosh one. Is your car a 1.8T? It could also be a split pipe between the turbo and the Throttle Body. A small, un-noticable leak is al it takes for this fault to occur.

I have seen camshaft position sensor fault before too. I think the sensor is faulty, giving intermittent bad signals. This would cause the 16727 and 16395 faults to come up if the readings were not within spec. Worth a second opinion though that one.
