Just when I thought I was nearly sorted a few other things pop up.

Whe starting off the first 3 or 4 times that I break I get a grinding noise but after a few stops it disapears never to be heard again until the car has been sat for a while and I set off again.

Also in 2nd gear this morning at just under 2.5k revs I had some really bad juddering like it was going to stall. I have had this before a few times could it be missfiring?

Any ideas especially with the breaks well what I think is the breaks.

I have the same on mine with the brakes. Do you have discs all round?

I've noticed that when i go out to the car on a morning the discs are discoloured from sitting all night - a slightly rusty tinge to them... after braking a few times this clears all the grime completly and they work fine. I just assumed this was normal.

No idea about the discs I have a 2000 1.4MPI?

It only started last night got in the car from work was fine and drove 25 miles down the Mway to Preston. Parked up for about 3 hours then when I set off it started after the first few junctions it had gone.

When I drove down the Mway on the way it lashed it down and all the time I was parked up so I put it down to a bit of damp and they needed drying off.

Then when I got in the car this morning it did it again.

Just a quick thought if it is the discs does this mean they are on their way out,

It only had service and MOT 3 months ago so I would be very suprised.
