VAG on the Felicia

Featured Replies

Hi all... have read through and searched through on here and cant find any information on VAG com and the felicia.

I have a 1.3 l&k and would like to be able to read any fault codes on the ecu and also to clear an airbag light fault that has arrisen after the battery being disconnected.

I think i know what kind of reader i need:

KKL 409.1 VAG VW/AUDI/SEAT/SKODA OBD2/II COM USB CABLE on eBay, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 220140898227 end time 19-Aug-07 13:30:29 BST)

And know what software to use but i dont even know where the interface(s) are in the car... were do i connect the reader to?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks

Not really sure (since here steering-wheel is on the left side), but connector should be on the passanger side below the ... what is the word... box for things ;) near the passanger side door. Right next to fuses box.

Felicia uses KWP-2000 protocol (really slow... really) but I'm not sure what exactly could be done by VAG software (reading and clearing of errors should be possible  ).

All you can do is check the engine management on a Felicia. It does not have the controllers that any of the later models have.

The connector is in the drivers footwell to the right of the steering wheel, a mirror image of where the bonnet release handle is. You can check:

6U,Skoda Felicia,01,03,15,25,41

Engine, ABS, Air Bag, Immobliser and Diesel Electronics.

Thats fantastic forfan just what i wanted to know.

Will get a cable ordered asap off ebay then and see about sorting my airbag problem... at the moment i dont know wether its a problem with the airbag so at least i should be able to clear the code and if it comes back then ill know that theres a problem.

Thanks for your help.

If it's an over voltage fault, you should be able to check the charge rate in one of the engine measuring value blocks.
