door panel help

Featured Replies

Hi all you Skoda lovers out there. This is my first time on the forum and would appreciate a little help with my window problem. My superb classic n/side front window will not operate although electrics can be heard.I would like to know what I need to buy to get fixed. Can someone enlighten me on how to remove internal door panel to see where the problem lies.

Hiya.

Do I understand you that the window motor is running, but the glass isn't moving? If so, then the problem's almost certainly either the drive gears having stripped or the glass no longer being attached to the capstan, and I'd think drive gears, if only cos the glass isn't dropping inside the door.

Hi Ken,thanks for the reply.Yes the window motor still works but makes a horrible scratching noise (like metal on glass). The glass hasnt fallen down but had slipped a bit so I wedged it tight.

No probs. I'm now sure I'm in the right area, but have no idea how to get the door card off a Superb, and it needs investigating, since there's a chance the glass has just jumped off the carriers, and you don't actually need any new parts.

Would still like to hear from anyone who knows how to remove ns/p door card.

You will need a new window regulator, sounds like the cable has snapped.
