I'm thinking to get VW MFD version D for my Superb, but I'm not sure if it'll work. Do you know difference between these models?

D and G are supposedly electronically the same but G has a "predictive" address input system that limits the letters you can pick to those that fit words in its placenames/street lists, makes mis-typing an address more difficult

you can update the D firmware to G but have to be certain you know exactly what to do as you can convert the unit into a doorstop if you get it wrong

I have a Skoda branded MFD-G in my 52 plate Octy vRS and it works great.

Apparently it came from a Superb - according to the ebay seller I got it from.

VW = MFD = D and G versions

Skoda = DX = A and B versions IIRC

Same units just with different colour displays....
