Just thought some of you might like the following link:

Scout Experience Mission

Reads - Over 9,700 km across Russia. The goal of the campaign is to test the Octavia Scout in extreme conditions.

Obviously this is a big PR exercise to the press but it looks like the car faired well (well there are smiles at the end~).
