crappy interior

Featured Replies

i have a 1.8t elegance 4x4 which is the muts nuts, apart from a pretty ropey set of seats front and rear. i want to upgrade to recaros from another vag car, has anyone else tried to do this, which cars are compatable any advice or tricks anyone can share with me to help out??

Golf Mk4 seats fit, as do those from a Seat Leon/Toledo. I THINK A3/S3 seats fit but I'm not 100% certain.

i was told that seat toledo 2.3 seats would do the trick, same chassis apparantly but i worry about buying the seats for them not to fit, and i am pretty sure they are electric, god knows how that would work. thanks for your quick reply though

cheers

Got some Mk4 Golf GTi Recaros (cloth) in my 4x4. Swapped over without too much problem. Leather would have been nice but not often available.

There are a couple of pics in one of the other threads in this section showing Recaros in a 4x4. Looks good and much more comfortable than the standard seats.

Here are the pics from the other thread.

As requested.... :)

that looks realy good in the car, was it a straight swop? i swopped a corrado interior into a golf once and although it was a bit fiddly it went in right enough. what about the side airbags do they simply plug in to the original connections? decisions decisions decisions.

the missus bought our boy a recaro baby seat so i think she might be trying to get me to get on with it!!

cheers

Good choice in sprog seat have had the young sport one for nearly a year now and it is great. You may have to get a seat underlay from halfruads to stop it moving about, there was a little movement on the leather when I had it fitted so got one there and then.
