Quick question, are all VW 1.9 PD engines the same? Ie, is the engine in the VW Transporter the same as in my old Fabia? I would like to know as I'm being given a Transporter for work and still have my tuning resistor box thingy and would like to fit it. Will it work?

The box will probably work, if both are PD. But in terms of the engines themselves, the VW engine is likely to be a different code/generation of PD. However a PD tuning box should still work I reckon.

i didn't know they did a 1.9 transporter.. we have a 2.5 130bhp model.. goes like stink for a van!!

Thats a 5 cylinder and makes a great noise when you stick the DSG into 'S' and give it some beans
