Dealer got order wrong - but "blaming me"

Featured Replies

Its a nightmare mess up but as long as the resolution suits you then at least the customer is happy I s'pose. Still, a total pain about the deal not being as attractive as first thought.

the real bugger is I could have supplied you with your entire shopping list from your sig :D :D :D :D

Just got to see this thread and I'm glad to see that you stuck to your guns and won the day (at least with a fair compromise on the price). Two point come to my mind;-

1. I've bought a fair few cars for my Company over the years and even buying from a dealer that I have used before, the FIRST thing THEY get me to do when we have agreed the deal is to SIGN the ORDER FORM!! Your dealer's mistake.

2. I think you will find that the 2.0L 140 with DSG is in the 'real world', not far off the performance of the vRS TDI (in a straight line anyway) and with a quick bit of remapping you'll get 170+ bhp and effectively have a vRS with DSG! Hows that? The performance gap from your vRS TFSI down to the 1.9L 105 would have been too great and you would always have been thinking; now what if ...??

Good luck.

Glad it sorted - what a farce though!

Do we get to know who the dealer was? :rubchin:

Steve

glad you sorted it. when I went to buy mine the dealer offered me a car he had in Race Blue VRS but without the xtras to be fair he offered a real good deal but at the end of the day it wasn't what I wanted and I knew I'd regret it.

So if anyone wants a race blue VRS tdi I can recommend a dealer who'd do a good deal
