My vrs needs it's first service now, anyone got any reccomendations as to where to take it ? (I live Gateshead, just next to Newcastle)

If you're prepared to drive a bit, take it to Phil at Elite in Thornaby, he's an EX Audi tech, very good and very reasonable prices.

I'm not sure that the dealers are like closer to you, sorry.

theres silberby skoda in cramlington. they are meant to be quite helpful. not been yet though but was talking to a guy with a mk2 octy yesterday and he was more than happy with them

Hi mate...silbury are expensive for servicing.

Far better is Barmoor garage (skoda independent) in ryton, gateshead

Got my 20000mile service £100 cheaper than silbury and that included a courtesy car.

Just got a standard 1.2 fabia as a courtesy car mate..alright to get me to the metro centre whilst car serviced

Bit of an update...... Finally booked my car in to have it's 1st service at Barmoor on Monday 1st Oct. I was quoted a good price from them and tbh they were the only dealer I called in the area that seemed to actually WANT my business !!
