Hello - I need some advice

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm thinking about getting a Fabia vRS - office relocation means my commute will be a bit expensive in my Megane 230, so I'll have to give it to my wife for the school run.

Anyway, I'd quite like the special edition blue metalic (Race Blue???) version. The Skoda website says there's still some stock available, but can anyone tell me if there are dealers out there that give decent discounts. I'm in the New Forest area (between Southampton and Bournemouth). It would be nice to use a local dealer, but location isn't critical.

Any help gratefully accepted.

Cheers,............

Hello and welcome. A few Briskoda members are away at the moment but at least two or three live in that part of the woods. Please treat this as a "bump" for now.

Thanks, Mo. I was begining to think I was the only person that could see my post.

Anyway, I've checked with a couple of dealers and it looks like the vRS SE is sold out now, so I'll have to look for a lightly used model.

Cheers,........

Welcome to the site ;)

Can your local dealer not get you a new or used SE?

Welcome.

I'm not too far from you myself.

Sadly I think you've missed the boat for a new vRS SE as they have all been sold bar one in the Channel Island and one in Ireland.

Found one - 4k miles, ex demo car, should have it by the weekend. Got a reasonable p/x price, but as expected, no hope of a killer deal because of all you Skoda-mad folk wanting more SEs than Skoda would make!!!

Still, after the test drive I can see why you like them so much. Much more dynamic than any other diesels I've driven - the power didn't seem to tail off like many diesel engines and you could hold the gears. Steering felt pretty good too. Really impressed, which is saying something considering my regular drive is a Megane R26 - the one that Autocar and Evo etc. rated as the best hot hatch you can get just now.

Soon sorted
