It was me who put one in my WRC. The one in the eBay link above is not an official VW part, it looks the same but I'm told they are very cheap and nasty (compared to the official part which is nice and solid).

The VW golf unit will go in no problem. You need to modify a piece of the armrest trim, or you can buy a replacement skoda part for around £15. The bracket needs a piece of metal cutting off to allow it to clear the cigarette lighter, but again you can buy the Skoda bracket for around £5.

I didnt buy it. Going to keep my eyes out at the scrappys for one, then get nan to leather it up.

the ones on ebay come in leather too same price as cloth ones. theres no way im gonna pay the prices for oem ones. gonna grab a nice jap one. then have a go fitting it on my days off whenever it comes along.
