I own an Octavia 1.9 TDI hatchback, 06 registration.

This evening when I started the car an "ASR OFF" warning light - situated above the heater controls - came on, as well as three warnings on the dashboard - an exclamation mark, a skidding car symbol and an ABS warning light. What's going on? Any help gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

The braking system has flagged a fault code, you will need to get the code read.

Sounds like a dodgy abs controller to me - exact same symptoms my colleague had on his 56 plate 2.0TDI Elegance...
