AEE Throttle adaptation

Featured Replies

The car is Octavia with AEE engine. How can I do it with VAG-COM?

I think this is what your after.

Throttle Body Alignment

Turn the key on but do not start the car.

01 - Engine]

[Measuring Blocks - 08]

Group 060 (may be Group 098 on cable-throttle cars)

[Go!]

[switch to basic settings]

Once you do this you will see the top right display say ADP RUN. The TB adaptation is being done as soon as you switch to basic settings. You will see the values change and hear the TB cycle for the first few seconds then it will stop. Leave it in Basic Settings for about 30 seconds, then press the [switch to measuring blocks] button and you're all set.

Be sure not to touch the accelerator and make sure the engine is NOT running when you do this!

Edit: 55kW AEE Engine Octavia 98

Hi there,

I recently bought a VAG-COM SW using it with an interface from blasusel.de . This works pretty well.

BUT there is almost no information about the 1AVM ECU. I found many threads for the 1AV, but this one is different from the 1AVM.

Does anybody know about the 1AVM (which is used in all 55HP Octavias)?

I did a TBA with Measuring blocks 001 - well somthing happened - the throttle openend and closed but did not open up fully.

Also, upon swithching to "basic settings", VAG-COM did not display anything else than the measuring blocks values. Still I do reckon that it did a TBA.

Anybody out there who can help me? I also would like to do the ignition setting myself, but so far I have not been able to find out the way to do it using VAG-COM.

cheers

(bought my Octavia 98 GLX from my grandma - hated it until I recently tried to adjust ignition timing just by trial and error - now it runs almost fine)
