Fault Code 17664

Featured Replies

Hi guys. temperature gauge has started to become faulty lately. wonders from 0 to 20 back to 0 up to 40 back to 0 but once it hits 90 it just sits there like its ment to. put my car on a friends diag machine and says fault code "17664 P1256 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor - G62: Open/Short to B+" Would this be a faulty temp sensor or what is it.

Probably price the part from skoda cant see it being more than a few pounds and try it - nothing ventured nothing gained and all that .

That will be it, they are around £22 + VAT.

tried that already but he wont post to republic of ireland due to "contractual reasons"

I'd just checked its still plugged in first, behind the passenger side lower bumper grill.

It's Coolant Temp Sensor that's the issue by the look of it rather than Ambient temp... :)
