What's behind the rear "skoda" badge?

Featured Replies

If I was to take the Skoda badge off the middle of the boot....Is it smooth behind it? Or is there an indent, where the badge sits originally?

Thanks

A large indent & presumably 2 holes!:thumbdwn:

Leave the badge on and be proud you own a Skoda:D:thumbup:

IIRC Milotec do a blanking thingy if you really really want to go down that road.

Yep there are two holes in the boot where the badge attaches. Devonutopia took his off IIRC and filled them to get a flush look.

No don't get me wrong, I'm not ashamed to be driving a Skoda! Infact I love it! Always been a dub boy from day 1 ... And I'm very proud its in the VAG group :)

I just love that smooth/flush look ;)

renvRS - what are the wheels u have gone on your SE?

Very Nice

Mine has been de-badged, and in my opinion looks better.

There are piccies somewhere ( it's silver though, if that helps )

mine is gettin de-badged as we speak!

Yep, holes - but no indent (as some $crote kindly demonstrated to me and the Mrs...)

Yep, just 2 holes left to fill on the Fabia and Octavia.

Superb is just stuck on.

Its actually a photoshop a friend of mine did for me :) But they are 16" BBS RXIIs...

They are in the pipeline for the time being!

Thanks for all the tips, May have to get them filled and smoothed one day then! Im not a huge fan of that alternative however but cheers for popping that up! Interesting to see the alternatives:thumbup:

Can you move the vRS badge to cover the holes?

I heard there was VW badge underneath it :)

Re the RXIIs... 18" RCs are the business, they looked the mutts on my vRS!

I believe so - I'm sure someone posted a pic where they'd done it (was a few years ago, mind, and might have been the longer vRS badge on older Fabias...)

i'd like to remove my rear badge but not keen on the expense of getting it filled and painted, does look really good when done though.

i was thinking about replacing the badge with black versions which i have seen somewhere but dont know a lot about them.

Yeah them 18s look really nice, I personally wouldn't really want to go over 17s though in the wheel department...

Yes you can seen it done on a black Vrs 05 plate;)

I Got a black badge on the rear of my fabia

Its the carbon one off the engine cover(about £5 from the dealers)

You have to heat it up so you can bend it to fit the rear of the car though

Yep - I removed my badge and stuck a couple of pennies on from the inside, and filled behind it. Then when I went to get it painted, he removed my filler, and did it himself.... properly!:o. Trouble is now it's scratched again quite badly, but I'm leaving it as I'm likely to be going for a full external respray soon. :)
