cruise control add on?

Featured Replies

is it possiable to buy the cruise control stalk, then fit it, and then get someone to use vag-com to initialise it.

is it that simple to do this ?

or is there lots more parts involved?

cheers

EDIT:::

just found the stalk on the skoda superb page, under safety,

Å koda Accessories

looking at this, it must just be a add on item.

:D Unusually no, I didn't touch a drop last night. Perhaps *that* explains my post :D

If you do a quick search for cruise control on the site, you'll find that one of the regulars' pops up with great regularity sorting out CC installation woes.

And he can do installs at quite sensible cost by arrangement (including on my Fabia)

cheers mate, appreciated.

Derek.

The stalk will require fitting (steering wheel and airbag off) and the wiring fitted to the engine ECU and then it will have to be coded up. You will need VAG COM to enable the cruise setting in the engine ECU. Both myself and Stu (hinted at above) have a fair bit of experiance in the cruise control fitting game ;)

That isn't a picture of the stalk you'll get with the Superb though - Sadly ;)

No the Superb one will look the same as the Fabia/Octavia 1.

I'll wager it'll be on the new model though.

I would think it will be the same as the 3C Passat and have a seperate stalk for cruise.

Sorry, should have said...

VRStu often advises on cruise control and alternatively, he will fit for a reasonable cost; he did the one on my Fabia. Other cuise control advisors and fitters are available.

Better ;)

Don't forget Big K as well!! ;)
