Rear compartment vents blowing warm...

Featured Replies

Hi guys, quick question for you regarding my new VRS and specifically the rear cabin vents located on the back of the jumbo box/arm rest console.

The vents only appear to blow warm air to the rear passengers; even when the climate is activated at the front and running in auto (non economy mode) and pumping out cooled air.

Am I doing something wrong or are the rear vents only heaters? I was pretty sure that it was pumping out cold air when I got the car but I may of course be wrong.

Any help/advice would be appreciated,

Lee

They should cool as well, try rotating both the passenger and drivers side of the dual zone to the "LO" setting. This setting should only output fully chilled air through the open vents and see what happens.

Also, the air won't be as cold as the front vents as it has to travel up the air ducts in the centre console and it gets rather warm under there.

I've noticed a considerable temperature difference on the rear vents in the summer when running on LO.

Cheers guys - I'll try setting it on LO tomorrow but Id say it was definetly warm air, not just 'not quite as cold as the front' air... if that makes sense!
