Draft N Protocol Wireless Routers

Featured Replies

Looking at upgrading, due to pushing more video and audio content around and finding 54G isn't upto the job really. It isn't possible for me to cable (which would be my ideal) So, anyone using an 'N' spec router? I was looking at the D-Link DKT-810.

Cheers,

Steve

I am actually using a set of these Maplin > High-Speed Networking Over the Mains which are doing what they say on the tin, much better than my old 54G wireless which is now virtually redundant. I paid a lot less for them from ebuyer iirc.

Use them for streaming lot's of media and they cope well

Cheers Tony - I'll take a look. Seems this area of networking has made some progress :)

Still reckon I'd like to have the extra capacity that N offers though. What have they got the throughput upto, through the power circuit? Around G x2?

Steve
