Hit a rabbit, part broken need's identifying..

Featured Replies

Ok on A46, national speed limit section last night and a rabbit ran across in front of me, no time to avoid or brake etc so hit it pretty much square on with front bumper.

Was late when I got back so had a quick look at damage and it appeared just the middle lower grill had been knocked down, well on closer inspection this morning, the rabbit managed to crack a lot of paint on the front bumper, the lower grill pulled out but then there's a plastic housing which is in front of the radiator it's clean snapped off but also smashed the brackets that the bumper then screws onto...

Main question is what part is the plastic housing off, is it something that's attached to rear of bumper or is it part of a radiator housing unit?

Any help/pics/part numbers would be welcomed.

Cheers

Post a photo (of the car , not the rabbit) and people should be able to help

Octavia VRS 2002

looks like the radiator surround to me

SNAP!! Mines the same after a close encounter with a pheasant, the biker behind me got covered in feathers ......

Its part of the radiator surround, I didn`t bother replacing mine, been like that for over 2 years now with no Ill effects, garage said not to bother aswell.

Cheers...
