Tidy Tom Tom Mount?

Featured Replies

I,m purchacing a tom tom one( i'd have prefered a MFD2, but need to use it in more than one vehicle) and was wondering if anyone has come up with a neat wiring solution? I was thinking of mounting it near the ticket holder on the lower right side. That way you can use the fusebox on the drivers side and that small cubyhole below the lights swith to store the cabling when not in use.

i have mine on a vent mount i got from fleabay the wire pushes in nicely between the plastic and fabric twin all the way down to where the cigarette lighter socket is. a word of warning dont cut the power lead and join it to the fuse box, there is something inside the plug end of the lead which transforms the rate of 12/24 down to the 3 or so volts that the tomtom actually needs. do a search on here i have seen it on this forum somewhere.
