Noise and vibrations from fabia

Featured Replies

I've just bought a Skoda Fabia 1.4 mpi with 54,000 miles, based on claime reliability and VW engine. However on the f=drive back I noticed a loud buzzing noise coming from the front end (poss engine? accompanied by vibration feeding back through the pedals.

There are no warning lights coming on so I hope its not an engine issue. Some other forums have mentioned wheel bearings, but steering doens't seem to make a difference. It seems to happen at and above 40mph but driving faster doesn't seem to change the pitch or voracity of the sound or vibration.

The car is x reg and was bought for £1,850 - have I been ripped off?
