I am looking at getting an XBOX from Santa and have been looking at the following deal:

Xbox 360 Premium Console with Sega Rally and PGR 3 and Extra Wireless Controller and Live Arcade - £274.99

Can anyone who has played either of these games advise whether they are worth the money or not?

I will be buying predominantly driving games for the XBOX and my mother-in-law has agreed to get me either Forza2 or PGR4 for xmas as well

If this is not worth it, anyone got any better deals?

I would say the PGR4/Halo 3 bundle is better value.

Sega Rally didn't float my boat.

is it Sega Rally that has the Rally Skodas in it ?

I'd also say that you should try and get PGR4, number 3 is now old, seeing as 4 is out.

I got my 360 at the end of November last year, and found that in the run up to Christmas the offers in shops like Game and Gamestation were changing weekly. Don't forget places like HMV and Virgin, and of course, Amazon.

Sega Rally is poor compared with every other racing game, and the original arcade machine

The best offer I have seen was £199 for a premium system at Play.com.

Also I think Woolies are quite competitive at times.

The XBOX360 has Fabia's in! Maybe a difference, or maybe they have both?

Well I have gone and bought one today!

Went to HMV in the end and they have a deal for the following:

XBox Pro (was told it is one of the new Premiums with upgraded circuitry to help reduce the risk of red light issue?)

Additional wireless controller

Forza2

Either Fifa08 or Medal of Honor Airborne

all for £269.99

I then asked the guy in the shop if I could swap Medal Of Honor for PGR4 and he said no problem

So I got both driving games I want, with additional controller for £270 - can't complain about that.

Now all I have to do is wait until xmas day :(

Got mine for £220 on play.com a while back.

WooHoo - just been doing a wee bit reading, and then checked my XBox.

Turns out it is one of the new batch which also comes with an HDMI port :D

I will still have to buy a cable, oh, and a High-Def TV but good to know it is futureproof!

Well worth going HD with the 360, is like playing a totally different console...

How much is X-Box live now?

amazon are doing 1 yr for 35 quid, it's £40 from GAME*, not sure how much a 1yr extension is if you buy it through the Live Marketplace.

* edited to add - GAME have the Halo branded 13 month card for £35, which is then cheaper than the 12 month one.:confused:
