Servicing Question

Featured Replies

Guys,

Left my vRS TDI in for its first service on Friday (18,000 on the clock). Upon checking the service details .. the screen reads 9000 Miles or 369 Days until next service. I've only done 150 miles since the service, have the dealer screwed up my service ?

Thanks

A

Perhaps they have reset the 'service indicator' for fixed not variable?

How long have you had the car? Was the service indicator telling you to get it serviced in the first place, or did you just get it done as you had got to 18,000 miles?

Perhaps the dealer has not reset the service indicator at all? It has been known for an easy driven, high mileage car on variable servicing to go 25-27,000 between services.

The serivce indicator was telling me to get it done ... when i took the car in for service the indicator was showing 600 miles (can't remember exact number of days tho). It makes me think they have tired to reset it and failed or set it totally wrong.

If they had set it to fixed would it not be reading 10000 / 12000 less probably 200 miles for what i have done since and not 9200?

It ought to be reading 18,000 miles and 720 days (or thereabouts). Oughtn't it?

I'd go and talk to the dealer about it.
