Confused Fabia Window Closure with Key Fob

Featured Replies

I'm a little confused (but there's nothing new there!) regarding the convienience open and closure of the windows on SWMBO's Fabia Elegance. It has all round electric windows, which can be opened & closed by using the key in the door locks and holding open/closed for 3 seconds.

I have been trying to see if it is possible to code this in VAG Com so that this can be done with the remote key fob, by searching the forum. Some threads seem to suggest that if I have this feature, it can be enabled, others suggest I need a device (other than VAG Com) to reflash the controler.

It's an X reg model and my brother in law in Greece has exactly the same car bought at the same time & this feature works on his.

Anyone got a definate answer to this?

It cant be done with programming no.

Look for posts with alientech controller in them, they were looking to do one for the Fabia but dont think they ever did.

Doesn't the KVW100 programmer thingy work with the Fabia?

I've only read something briefly about it but yes come to think of it I think it does.

But not something from Skoda factory as such.

Thanks for the tips, Does anyone know anything about vagproduct.co.uk? I see they list the KVW100 & i've sent them an email to see if the KVW100 would work?

The KVW100 product, from vagproducts.co.uk (among other places) does work, sometimes! Depends on your version of convenience, but I'm suspecting not on your earlier Fabia. On mine, the product will work for the sunroof, but not windows

Autowindow make a module compatible with the Fabia though. This will require installation in the driver's door.

Both devices have reviews and info on here, if you search.
