Splutter/ hesitation

Featured Replies

Hi there I have a slight problem with my 2002 Octavia vrs covered 55k. I have owned this car for 4 years and have noticed over the last couple of years there is a slight hesitation/ lag / flat spot at about 1500rpm or there abouts. Happens when cold or warm any ideas as I think it's getting worse.

Sorry lads just seen about a million posts on this subject. Should have looked first.

Need a fault code scan just to see if anything is there to point us int he right direction.

Assume it was like it before the cambelt was done?

Yeah just the same before and after cam belt change.

I would think at a random guess you have a 17705 fault and maybe a leaky vacuum pipe under the manifold.

But with nothing else to go on that is a random guess.

How do I get the codes up?

Does the power pickup again after the hesitation? say about 3000rpm upwards.

You will need vag-com and cable to get the fault codes up

Yeah after about 2500rpm it runs great
