I picked up my new Fabia 2 on Sat 3rd Nov - two questions if I can

1. I have 15" Alloys - can I just clean them and pollish using Diamond wax or some other good car pollish?

2. The spair full steel has lots off coloured lines on the tread - this is not a space saver can anyone tell me why the tyre has coloured lines and is it a special tyre?

i just use normal polish myself , and the patterns are normal, i think they are just there so you can see the tyre is new

I just wash the alloys.

The coloured lines on the spare are there from the tyre manufacturer's "roundness test". With a brand new car I'd expect to still be able to see them on the road wheels too: Even if they've worn off the surface they should still be visible in the tread.
