octavia 1.9 tdi estate

Featured Replies

Hi all and i appologise now for sounding stupid or getting it wrong i guess we all got to start somewhere?!!

I have a octavia 1.9tdi estate 03 model. I now have a permenant abs and traction control light on, on the dash. the abs pump was replaced which got rid of the traction light but the abs light is still on. Its been at my local garage for about 3 weeks now and they seem to be fobbing me off with various reasons why the light is still on and not actually fixing it! They now seem to think its a broken wire somewhere in the system?? its been back and forth to a local Skoda dealer to no avail. its been on various fault finding equipment but not actually coming up with a fault or fault code?? Please, please, please help, anyone?? Is it something really silly they are missing?? My garage bill is upto £800 and the car is useless without its MOT!! HELLLLPPPP!!!! Squ1rrel!

It WILL have a fault recorded, the computer can't put the warning lights on without having a fault to log. Has it had a FULL diagnostic scan from Skoda or someone with the full (not shareware) version of Vag-Com?

Thanks for the reply!! Apparently it went back to A Main Skoda dealer to have the ABS pump and electrics(module?) reset to the car???????? Also the local garage said their computer equipment wasnt advance enough to diagnose faults thats why it went to the Skoda dealer. I'm at a loss really so it seems is everyone else. Maybe i need to cut my losses before the bills get even bigger!!
