Friday @ Jabbasport

Featured Replies

Finally got time to post about Friday now.

The previous evening Alexninja and myself (me in a minor role  ) managed to remove the pro-kit from the wreck's struts - tough job on one of them as the bolt had split and the nut was proving rather tough to shift ;) Finally the bar-steward came off and the pro-kit were on the pro-dampers in no time.

So Friday I arrived at Jabba with the box and James set to work changing them all over. 3 hours labour later and the car was looking sweet. It was sitting at pretty much the same height as when I was running the old car on standard dampers... only this time I had eibach dampers to help with balance.

Then Mike took the car into his hands. I heard it rolling road from the waiting room and Mike came back with 142BHP :( I was a little sad as I had 143 without the new exhaust, so Mike tapped at his laptop for a bit and disappeared (after me telling him old cars reg no ;))

I then heard the car RR a couple more times then all went quiet... too quiet. Then Mike surfaced into the room with a bit of a grin on his face, and produced a plot maxxing out at 154BHP. I was dead chuffed at this, then he mentioned the 383NM (280lb/ft) WOOOOW! This was about 16-18% better than the previous map so how chuffed was I? Mike commented the car now rarely needed to be out of fifth as it pulled from 1500RPM smartly. He also said the new suspension helped it accelerate out of corners. I quickly confirmed this fact on my way out of Jabba. The only thing I noticed wrong on the way home was the one-touch elec windows wasn' functioning, but Xavier taught me the way to re-program them. Cheers X

Another notch on the board for Jabba this! and I thought 150BHP was the magic figure the PD100s struggled to cross and now I'm proudly standing on the other side. Come on Andy, join me! Only need an exhaust really. :D

 JABBA

(PS: nice to be overtaken by the Jabba 4x4 at Brunters... That thing shifts!)

Excellent result Jason - that exhaust seems to make quite a difference!

280lbfts! - and I thought my tdi was maxed out at 250!

Time for some hybrid work on that spare turbo of yours? :D

I had a quick razz in Jasons car on the handling track.. the power delivery is very smooth. a credit to Jabbas abilites :)

I was dead impressed!

The turbo is remaining on the engine. I think someone's after it. ;)
