Hi-Octavia woe!

Featured Replies

Hi, :)

I'm a new member from Northants. We've 2 skodas in the family, a 1.6 T reg Octavia and an S reg 1.9D felicia. Love our Felicia- colud strangle my Octavia. It's suddenly loosing all power just as though it's been switched off at 40-60 mph, under steady load, occasionally at lower speeds when accelerating uphill. Any helpful suggestions?.:(

It's an intermiitent fault and will usually pick up again within seconds, but gives me some scary moments if someones too close behind:eek:!

Thanks Willf

Hi Willf...... welcome to Briskoda!

Is the engine management light on? If so get it scanned at the dealers or by someone with VAG COM software... it should throw up a fault code. Try searching the fault code on Ross Tech Wiki, and you should get some helpful hints as to the problem.

At a guess it could be MAF or throttle body related, but thats two of many possibilities.
