Wheels

You wont need longer bolts at all if you get the propper bolt on hubcentric spacers. You just use the standard ones.

Yep your correct Ross, the correct system spacers means that you don't need longer wheel bolts but I found the other system a better investment as they are easily available in the classifieds on various forums.........:o

How do these hubcentric spacers address the problem of corrosion when steel and alloy are put together?

No problems on my car and I have been running them for 2 years or so........

http://www.modificars.fi/Dokumentit/FK-Spacerit.pdf

page 15 has Superb info.

Because I need 20mm per wheel so 40mm per axle is correct?

Maybe order number FK015 20Z should be ok for my car?

Yep those are the ones if you want 20mm per wheel, I used to own a pair but sold them............:(

You will need longer wheel bolts as well if you purchase the System A.........

That's true, however I'm looking at hubcentric 15mm's on the back and something like 5 or 10mm on the front...

My plan was just to have a slight increase at the front, with the bigger increase at the rear.

Copper grease, I would have assumed? That's how I get around the alloy wheel/steel hub problem, or at least how I have done previously.

You need to ensure you source Hubcentric ones mate otherwise you will suffer from wheel wobble, the smallest Hubcentric you can buy for the Superb is 10mm, then 13mm, then 15mm..........

The amount you would need to stop corrosion would be my concern, yes i use copper slip on the center hole of the wheel and just a tiny amount on the threads, but most places will tell you the bolts should be grease free (to stop them coming undone on their own)

Do these bolt on hub centric spacers have a steel helicoil in the wheel bolt hole or is the thread cut into the alloy itself? - another thing i don't like the idea of.

Well I sold those Pegasus rims. Didn't want to get involved with spacers after all. :o

How about Autec Delos-rims?

Size would be:

front 8,5x17. 225/45/17 ET30

rear 10x17. 255/40/17 ET25.

Are those too wide?

If I were you I would have a look at this link:

Wheel Offset Calculator

As stated before the standard wheel specs are 7J with an offset of ET37........

Very nice. I just happen to have the same wheels (but 18") going begging. Was thinking about listing them here. Would anyone be interested?

These are they.

You would sell them easily on here mate and you should advertise them in the classifieds, how much would you be looking for?

Not sure really. Was thinking around £250 from looking at other ads? What do you think? I'll take some pics tomorrow and get an ad up.
