Any Sony Ericsson K850i users out there..

Featured Replies

Just recently bought the phone and I was wondering if anyone else was disappointed with the miserable battery life.

Perhaps there are some tips and tricks such as turning off 3G (already done) and the like.

Your thoughts please because at only 48hrs on standby it will be going back.

Mine runs for about 4 days with occational use. What I have found though is that it doesn't last long if it's hooked in to a device via bluetooth (such as handsfree or lappy)

What size memory card has it got? A guy as work fitted a 2 gig card and it reduced the battery life considerably  A firmware upgrade seemed to fix the issue :D

It's got a 512m card but I shall bear that in mind if I keep it.

I'm charging it now and if it doesn't make Monday they can have it back.

Hardly a mobile if you are dependant on the mains all the time. ;)

Dont get an N95 then, charging mine every day

I ordered a K850i today, but I'm used to the Nokia N80, so charge it every night!!!

Besides the battery life, how are you finding the phone??

Not really used in anger yet but if it is as good as my current phone, a K750i, I will be happy.

Turning the screen brightness down to 50% helps!

the old k800 was the same, but with all this technology comes a price (battery life)

I had the k850 but hated it and sold it on, got a cheapo D900 and think it brilliant, tried the new G600 but the camera is aweful (5MP - aye right)

ooops, mines a w850i not a k

I think the problem is that Sony Ericsson claim 400 hrs on standby.
