advice on code reader

Featured Replies

Yeah, that'll work. Although its already been sold, to you? I believe it'll only show the code and not a vague description like VAG-COM does.

If you wanted codes read / cleared I could of done that for you at the Suffolk / Essex meet which never happened ;):D

lol yes cheers oh well got one now . only need it to read and clear codes but will remember for future reference you have vag com thanks glen

Of course, as far as deciphering the codes goes, the £12 Freedom fee will make this link work! ;)

The main shortcoming of the standalone readers is that they only "Read Diagnostic fault codes from Engine, Automatic Transmission, Anti-lock braking system and air bag.", so you can't tweak some of the settings like you can with VAG-COM... But in the absence of a laptop, I reckon they're pretty worthwhile!

[edit] Just spotted you're a Freedom member already!

So why didn't you use the search?!?!? @rofl: [/edit]
