Superb phone prep?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Have been running my mobile handsfree through my tom tom via bluetooth for the last year. Have finally had enough of everyone complaining they can't hear me!! Is there any way i can retro fit phone prep in the superb? (55 plate elegance) Really want it to come through the stereo speakers hopefully with better sound quality!

What are my options?

Phone is an N95.

HELP!!!!

Ben.

buy a parrot. Everyone I have spoken to reccomend them. Halfords have some good offers going at the moment, if you trust them with wiring it in?

I am currently using a Motorola T305 that clips onto the sun visor with good results :)

Buy a parrot. Everyone I have spoken to recommends them.

Specifically the CK3100 model. The advantage of this version is that its control unit (which you never need to use; it is all voice-activated) sits so snugly in the space at the bottom left-hand corner of the instrument binnacle, above and to the left of the steering wheel column, that it looks as if it was designed to fit there.

And it is very good.

Have you used the plug in microphone that comes with the TomTom?

As i have no problems when useing mine.

Yeah, got the plug in microphone. Run it up the A pillar so it's just below sun visor. Might be my phone but was pretty poor with old phone as well.

I have fitted the TomTom external mic to both cars and it works well with no complaints - although sometimes TomTom "updates" can break the mic. Have you checked it is working? Mine stopped last week, but another update fixed it.

I tried putting the phone output through the car speakers and got massive feedback, sounded like Max Headroom (for those old enough)!
