Size Speakers in Octavia II? Again...

Featured Replies

Searched the site for similar threads but didn't find anything of help.

I would like to replace the speakers font & back, anyone know what size they are?

I did a speaker upgrade on my 2002 Passat (Old Gamma Unit) & Vauxhall Signum & the difference was amazing, I would assume doing this cheap mod on the Octavia would more than likely give the same benefits.

The Stream MP3 seems to have half a decent output but I think it's the speakers that are struggling a little & let it down.

Forget that I've found the info here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/ice-security-insurance/how-remove-octy-ii-door-cards-speaker-sizes/51291/

:)

I wouldn't rush to replace the speakers - they aren't the weekness in your system.

Trouble is if I was to replace the HU I would really go for the MFD3 but the price is just nuts compared to a modest £80.00 for a set of speakers.

Exactly my point - I have both.

OEM speakers and MFD3 - Sounds fecking awesome, ask anyone who's had a demo of it.

Save your money on the speakers there's nothing wrong with them.

What can i say it was amazing, the sound through the speakers whilst playing a DVD was better than the cinema.

Sorry just read your MFD3 Post, what can I say......simply stunning.

So as you say the clarity of the standard Stream Mp3 is not doing the speakers justice & not the other way round.

£1400.00 is a lot of pennies - my business mileage has just changed from .40p to 25p per mile, Xmas is on it's way & I've got 2 x 14 month old daughters, a heavy mortgage & the missus only works a few hours a week how the feck am I gonna afford one...:(.

By the way you don't fancy swapping your MFD3 for a Stream MP3 do ya? - I will through in a couple of dirty nappies & a valve cap?

Sadly no - Nice idea though.

Slightly cheaper option is to get hold of a VW one, it'll function exactly the same but will have red illumination and a VW startup screen.

On the plus side I have just saved you £80

Sorry to dig this thread up again but does anyone know if the Audience MP3 system is much of an improvement over the Stream MP3 as in sound quality?

I understand that you will lose the CD Changer in the boot but thats not much of an issue for me - does the Audience MP3 system have a 6 x CD built in?

Thanks
