Poping fuses

Featured Replies

Right I seem to have a problem were the fabia's heater keeps pops it fuse every now and then. :thumbdwn:

Had the car from new and for the first 3 years never had a single fuse go, just had a crap heater. After the garage sorting the heater I now seem to pop a fuses every now and then.

What could be causing it to go? It went last night when the blower was on 4. Time before it was on 1. Now guesing barewire but got a feeling its going to be a right pain to solve.

Without wanting to sound patronising (moi? ;)), have you made sure the fuse is the correct rating? :D

Chris

could be a loose connection somewhere. checkt he back of the fus box and see if anything is loose?

also check with the above 1st just incase

What fuse is popping?

Does sound very much like something is shorting to earth.

Is everything working like it should? All illumination ok etc? Any fault codes?

:)

I wouldn't be surprised if it were something like the resistor pack on the way out or a dodgy flap motor.

Remind me what work was done John - Flap motors?

It happened last night so not found which fuse has popped (garage have replaced them in the past) but yeah I'm guessing shorting. Yep everything works like it should.

Stu, The flap motor was replaced twice I think other than that I wish I knew alls I know they hated me walking into the showroom.

Well checked the fuses. No fuses have gone.

Edit. Oops not been checking the right fuses. Need to look at fuses 68 "25A" (one of the big ones).

Cheers Tony
